Family, Friends mourn the passing of Grace Harris

Hundreds gathered today at the Greater Richmond Convention Center to mourn the passing of Grace E. Harris, 84.

A celebration of life was held at the Greater Richmond Convention Center where hundreds gathered to share their condolences with the family and say farewell to Grace Harris. Reflections and tributes were offered to the audience by The Honorable L. Douglas Wilder, 66th Governor of the Commonwealth, The Honorable Roger L. Gregory, Chief Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and Dr. Michael Rao, President of Virginia Commonwealth University. Letters of sympathy were shared from Emeritus President, Virginia Commonwealth University, Eugene Trani, U.S. Senators, The Honorable Tim Kaine and The Honorable Mark Warner, and the VCU Black Education Association (BEA).
